With the deadlines fast approaching, I figured I should try to take advantage of the year end sales to try to purchase the items I need at a possibly lower price. The first set of purchases are from Lelong.my, from the seller Robotedu. These are primarily Arduino-related products for the module.
1. HC-06 Bluetooth Module - RM 15.00
This component was mentioned in a previous blog post, and will function as the part that will connect my Arduino board with the android app.
2. Arduino Nano - RM 12.50
This will hopefully function as my main Arduino board to run the whole module in a smaller size compared to the Arduino Uno.
I bought two of these, which will help power the circuit. I'm honestly not sure if the poower supply is sufficient or too much, because honestly I admit I don't have a very good understanding of power, voltage, current etc. Most of my tinkering around with circuits have been simply crossing my fingers and hoping things don't explode.
7. TP4056 1A Li-ion LiPo Battery Charging, Mini Micro USB Power Charger - RM 1.90
Based on this tutorial that was featured in the item listing, I'm hoping this can help with making the batteries rechargeable.
Finally, there are two parts which I purchased off Lazada.my after comparing the prices from Lazada and Lelong after considering the shipping prices. The wireless charging pad was RM 15.70, and the receiver module was RM 15.90
The final total for the money I have spent on these purchases amounts to RM 98.30. I hope they arrive okay.
After getting feedback on my project proposal, I have amended the Gantt chart to add more time for the technical exploration involved in this project. The feedback was overall positive, with comments on my ability to convey ideas effectively. However, I also need to take care that I execute the things that I'm planning to do. This post will be covering the technical explorations into the physical components needed for this project. Based on this tutorial , I'm planning to purchase a HC05 or HC06 module, which should be able to enable my Arduino Uno to communicate with other devices using Bluetooth.
